The Raptors were given there championship rings as the season kicked off in Toronto against the new look New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
After the boat load of picks that David Griffin was able too get back from the Lakers for Anthony Davis the Pelicans now sport a lineup that features Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram & Josh Hart.
The Raptors came out tonight with the Championship team that just won a ring and brought back the entire team with the exception on Danny Green and NBA finals MVP Kawhi Lenard.
So no Anthony Davis in New Orleans and no Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green in Toronto each made there way to LA to join the Lakers and Clippers.
With Number one overall pick in the NBA draft Zion Williamson out with an injury we didn’t get to see a full force Pelicans attack. But we did get to see what the Raptors looked like without Lonard and Green.
Pascal Siakam who just got a huge contract did not disappoint as he dropped 34 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. Fred VanFleet who is now starting at the two guard also dropped 34 points. The performance of them two boosted the Raptors tonight as Kyle Lowry brought things home in overtime as the Raptors beat the Pelicans 130-122.

My take away from this game was can the Raptors remain a top team in the Eastern Conference without the Klaw? Can Pascal Siakam play like an All Star all year and can Fred VanFleet breakout at the two guard and consistently put up big numbers all year?
Sound off and let us know if you think Siakam and VanFleet can carry the Raptors and keep them on top of the Eastern Conference!
